Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Assistant Project Manager in Columbus to join a leading General Contractor. The role supports a wide range of commercial construction projects, reporting to the Project Manager and coordinating with architects, subcontractors, and teams to deliver on time, within budget, and to high quality standards.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years in construction, a relevant degree, and proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and project management software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within a general contracting environment.
• Proficient in project management software, MS Office, and AutoCAD.
• Able to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in all phases of project management including design, construction, occupancy, quality control, staffing, and budget management.
• Coordinate with architects, subcontractors, and construction teams to ensure project objectives are met.
• Assist in the preparation and review of project proposals, schedules, budgets, and project status reports.
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with project specifications, regulations, and quality standards.
• Attend and participate in project meetings, providing updates on progress, potential risks, and proposed solutions.
• Assist in the resolution of any issues that may arise during the construction process.
• Work closely with the Project Manager to ensure all contractual obligations are met and client expectations are exceeded.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including plans, contracts, change orders, and correspondence.
• Promote and uphold a culture of safety at all times.
