Job description

STV is seeking an Assistant Project Manager - Aviation to join our aviation team in Washington, D.C.

In this role, the Assistant Project Manager will work with the team to manage all phases of the aviation project life cycle, including but not limited to budgeting, planning, design, bidding, construction, commissioning, move management planning, and project closeout services.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Project Manager in leading the project team, setting goals, developing policies and procedures to guide the project/program, and mentoring team members.
  • Monitor design and construction activities to ensure compliance with contractual agreements and corporate quality standards.
  • Develop, evaluate, and manage project budgets, cash flow analyses, and cost estimates; review purchase orders, change orders, and invoices.
  • Forecast, identify, and address potential liabilities and risks.
  • Develop, monitor, and maintain project schedules, ensuring project objectives are met.
  • Maintain relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and vendors; manage conflict resolution.
  • Communicate complex ideas effectively, anticipate concerns, and persuade stakeholders, including executive leadership, to support project success.
  • Assist in evaluating, developing, and implementing standards, protocols, policies, and procedures to facilitate project success.
  • Provide guidance, direction, and instruction to less experienced team members and colleagues.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management.
  • Proven experience and knowledge in project management techniques, principles, and standards, with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to creatively resolve issues as they arise.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including MS Project and SharePoint.
  • Desired experience with project management software and applications.
  • Ability to forecast project challenges and develop solutions to maintain compliance with safety, quality, schedule, and budget constraints.

Compensation Range: $78,837.35 - $105,116.46
