Job summary

Superior is seeking an Construction Assistant Project Manager to support electrical construction projects in Port Washington, WI. The role reports to the Project Manager and serves on the Project Operations team on site.

The position manages RFI workflows, submittals, change orders, and project close-out while coordinating with vendors and the on-site Foreman to deliver materials and enforce schedule discipline. A related degree or certificate is required, with OSHA certification a bonus.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of construction or project operations experience on a commercial jobsite.
• Degree in Construction Systems Management, Engineering, or a related field, or a Construction Management certificate.
• Bonus: prior experience supporting commercial construction projects in a Project Operations role.
• Bonus: active OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.

Responsibilities

• Manage the creation and submission of RFIs and ensure RFIs are integrated into project documentation.
• Coordinate with vendors on the lifecycle of the project submittal process.
• Support the creation, submission, and management of change orders.
• Capture progress by updating contract documents and photographing the jobsite.
• Monitor the project schedule and provide updates to Project Operations and Field Operations leadership.
• Work closely with the Foreman on delivery of materials and equipment to the jobsite.
• Lead project close-out, including documentation, warranties, waivers, as-builts, and attic stock.
• Develop an understanding of project finance, working with Project Operations and Finance leadership.

Superior and our tri-venture, CST, are looking for an Assistant Project Manager to help drive our electrical construction projects forward. The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for helping make operations on-site more efficient and will play a key role in our contracting, scheduling, estimating, bidding, and contract administration functions. This role is based on a jobsite in Port Washington, Wisconsin and will be a member of Superior's Project Operations team.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the creation and submission of RFI’s and ensure that all RFI’s are integrated into project documentation
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers on the lifecycle of the project submittal process
• Support with the creation, submission, and management of change orders

Your Expertise

• Required: You have at least 1 year of construction or project operations experience on a commercial construction jobsite (including relevant internship experience); a degree in Construction Systems Management, Engineering, or a related field; or a Construction Management certificate
• Bonus Points: You have prior experience supporting commercial construction projects in a Project Operations role
• Bonus Points: You hold an active OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
