Seeking a Assistant Project Manager who is responsible for keeping the project team informed. They will maintain files, goals, subcontractor agreements, project books, insurance, payments, payrolls and all associated paperwork administration surrounding a project. This position will experience aspects of bidding, estimating and project management.
Responsibilities
- Support the Lead Project Manager, Superintendent, Construction Manager, and Owner with daily project coordination and meetings.
- Assist with bidding, estimating, contract formation, and project delivery activities.
- Review project and shop drawings and perform quantity takeoffs.
- Prepare and maintain preconstruction folders, project files, submittals, and documentation.
- Coordinate with the Superintendent on project schedules, durations, lead times, estimates, and budgets.
- Prepare and maintain subcontractor agreements based on project scope.
- Calculate and implement asphalt and fuel price adjustments.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain and update project information.
- Assist with budget analysis, cost to complete, and payment requisitions.
- Review subcontractor insurance policies and service provider agreements.
- Perform quantity calculations including linear footage, area, acreage, tonnage, and cubic yards.
- Verify quantities between bid and construction documents and identify potential change orders and purchase orders.
- Utilize construction software and systems including Procore, Viewpoint, and other project management platforms.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a closely related field.
- 2+ years of construction industry experience.
- 2+ years of experience using construction software and systems.
- Experience with CAD, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Trimble One, Procore, HCSS HeavyJob, HCSS HeavyBid, and Vista Viewpoint.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Accurate data entry and moderate analytical/problem-solving skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with teams and other divisions.
