Job summary

Balfour Beatty US in Tampa, FL is seeking a Project Engineer/Assistant Project Manager to support the Project Manager in all administrative and technical requirements for construction projects.

You will assist with contract administration, change orders, submittals, procurement, project financial setup, and scheduling to help deliver quality, profitable, safe, and timely outcomes, while focusing on meeting customer needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 4–6 years in construction office or field as Project Engineer/Senior Project Engineer/Assistant Project Manager.
• 1 year direct supervisory experience.
• Experience with project manager software (Constructware, P6, Timberline).
• Experience with cost projection, financial analysis, budget reviews, and labor reports.
• JD Edwards or similar construction applications experience.

Summary

This role is responsible for assisting the Project Manager in managing all administrative and technical requirements for construction projects. Assists in all activities related to contract administration, change orders, submittals, procurement, project financials set-up and updates, and schedule to ensure projects are completed in a quality, profitable, safe, sustainable, and timely manner. Maintain constant focus on meeting/exceeding customer needs and expectations by supporting the Project Manager in all aspects of assigned projects

Minimum Requirements

Preferred Experience

• Scheduling experience and sequencing experience using software applications or Microsoft excel
• Local candidate preferred, but not required.
