Job summary

Selectek is seeking a dedicated Assistant Project Manager in Smyrna, Georgia to support the delivery of complex electrical projects. In this role, you will assist the lead Project Manager with planning, executing, and completing projects, ensuring high-quality standards are met.

Your responsibilities include managing project schedules, budgets, and personnel while coordinating with clients and contractors. A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Construction Management is required, coupled with preferred experience in electrical contracting or commercial construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Construction Management.
• 1-2 years of experience in electrical contracting or engineering is preferred.
• Experience in commercial construction is a plus.

Responsibilities

We have an opening for a dedicated and qualified Assistant Project Manager to support the successful delivery of complex electrical construction projects.

In this role, you will work closely with the lead Project Manager to assist in the planning, execution, and completion of projects, ensuring high standards of quality and performance are met. This includes managing project schedules, budgets, resources, and personnel to ensure high-quality, timely, and safe project delivery. The role involves coordinating with clients, contractors, and stakeholders, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations, and resolving technical issues as they arise.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage electrical construction projects from inception to completion
• Develop and manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation
• Supervise and coordinate electrical teams, subcontractors, and vendors
• Ensure compliance with all safety standards, codes, and regulations
• Plan, develop, and track overall and short-term project task schedules to ensure production
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality
• Communicate project status to clients, stakeholders, and senior management
• Address and resolve any technical or logistical issues that may arise during construction
• Review and approve work plans, change orders, and submittals
• Manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Construction Management

Preferred

• 1-2 years of experience in the field for electrical contracting or engineering. Commercial construction experience is also ideal
