Job summary

Maronda Homes in Sanford, FL is seeking a trainee Project Manager to organize teams and materials to deliver high-quality homes on time and within budget. You will support project leadership while developing skills to advance to a Project Manager role within 12 to 18 months, with some required manual labor on site.

You will report to the Senior Project Manager or Project Manager and Production Manager, and you will monitor subcontractors to ensure safety, budget, and schedules are met.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent verbal and written communications are essential and mandatory.
• Excellent organizational skills are indispensable.
• Valid Driver’s license and personal auto insurance with at least state minimum coverage.

Responsibilities

• Organize people and materials to build quality homes on time and within budget.
• Maintain high-quality customer relations with prompt responses (within 24 hours) and timely warranty service.
• As a trainee, aim to reach Project Manager level within 12 to 18 months.
• Perform some manual labor as needed on site.
• Report to Senior Project Manager and/or Project Manager and Production Manager.
• Supervise: Monitor daily activities of subcontractors.
• Authority to recommend subcontractor hiring/firing and remove personnel for unsafe acts or trespass.

Job description

• Responsible for organizing people and material to build quality homes on time and within budget
• Maintaining the highest caliber of customer relations by providing prompt response and follow-up (within 24 hours) and providing warranted service promptly.
• This is a trainee position and emphasis should be to reach Project Manager level within the allotted 12 to 18-month time frame.
• Expected to perform some manual labor.
• Reporting to: Senior Project Manager, and/or Project Manager, and Production Manager
• Supervises: Monitors daily activities of Subcontractors
• Authority to: make a subcontractor hiring recommendation, make a subcontractor firing recommendation, remove anyone from a jobsite for illegal or unsafe acts or illegal trespass, not authorized to approve any rate in excess of Maronda’s rate without written permission of Production Manager, or supervising Project Manager.
