Job summary

Bigham Cable Construction in Pensacola, Florida is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to oversee assigned projects, ensure accuracy, safety, and profitability, and provide strong leadership to on-site teams.

Ideal candidates will have a solid telecommunications background, be proficient with computers and office equipment, read and analyze data, and bring prior supervisory experience to coordinate multiple projects to completion in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• 5+ years of related work experience preferred.
• Valid state driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Oversee assigned projects and provide leadership to on-site teams.
• Review tasks and reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
• Implement and maintain processes to assist completion of tasks in an assigned area or project.
• Communicate with employees, contractors, vendors, and customers to support project goals.
• Coordinate multiple projects to completion in a fast-paced environment.
• Function effectively in high-stress situations and manage expectations.
• Ensure tasks are completed through clear communication with all stakeholders.

At Bigham Cable Construction, as an Assistant Project Manager, you’ll be responsible for the sharing management over assigned projects and ensure the accuracy, completeness, safety, and profitability of each.

At a minimum, the position requires a good working knowledge of the telecommunications industry; ability to use a computer and other office related equipment; familiarity with aerial lift devices, utility lines/poles, and various other telecommunications construction equipment, and the functionality of each; ability to read, understand, interpret, input, and analyze data.

What You’ll Do

• Supervise, develop, and provide leadership to employees of an assigned area, department, or project;

• The ability to communicate with Company personnel, customers, and contractors to ensure tasks are completed.

What You’ll Need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Valid state driver’s license (non-provisional) with a clean driving record
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• Bachelor's Degree in a related field or 5 years of related work experience
• Previous supervisory and/or managerial experience
• Project management skills including planning, organizing, and coordinating tasks
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, background, and motor vehicle record check
