Infinite Consulting Corp in New York, NY is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support day‑to‑day project operations, coordinating between contractors and teams to help deliver projects on time and within budget.

You will track schedules, manage documentation (RFIs, submittals, changes), participate in client meetings, and ensure compliance with codes and safety standards. This role offers growth in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in construction management, with public projects preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Experience delivering projects in public-sector environments.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing day-to-day project operations with contractors and teams.
• Support tracking schedules and milestones and mitigate delays.
• Help manage project documentation (RFIs, submittals, changes).
• Collaborate to meet budget, timeline and quality goals.
• Participate in client and team meetings and prepare progress reports.
• Coordinate inspections and ensure compliance with building codes.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing day-to-day project operations, ensuring smooth coordination between contractors, subcontractors, and project teams
• Support in tracking project schedules and milestones, identifying potential delays, and helping to develop mitigation plans.
• Assist in managing project documentation, including RFIs (Requests for Information), submittals, and change orders.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure that all project goals and objectives are met, from budget to timeline and quality control
• Participate in client and team meetings, preparing progress reports and updates as required.
• Assist in coordinating inspections and ensuring the project meets all building codes and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in construction management, with experience working on public projects preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
• Experience delivering projects in public-sector environments, such as:
  • Municipal building build-outs or renovations
  • Medical centers / healthcare facilities
  • Higher-education and university buildings
  • Transportation/railroad infrastructure
• Proficiency in project management software such as Procore, MS Project, or similar tools
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindset
