Job summary

Tiello, partnered with a highly respected St. Louis-based General Contractor, seeks an Assistant Project Manager to support commercial construction from preconstruction to closeout.

This role suits someone with a strong Project Engineer foundation aiming for greater ownership in coordination, financials, and client communication. You will work with seasoned Project Managers and Superintendents to deliver projects on schedule and within budget, advancing toward a Project Manager role and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 4+ years of commercial construction experience with a General Contractor.
• Experience supporting or managing ground-up and/or renovation projects.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Procore/Bluebeam or similar software experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and project documentation.
• Support project scheduling, procurement, and buyout activities.
• Track budgets, change orders, and project costs.
• Review drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
• Participate in owner, architect, and subcontractor meetings.
• Support quality control, safety compliance, and project closeout.
• Help ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.

Position Overview

The company is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to help manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role is ideal for someone who has developed a strong foundation as a Project Engineer and is ready to take on greater ownership of project coordination, financial management, and client communication.

Working alongside experienced Project Managers and Superintendents, you’ll play a key role in delivering successful projects while continuing to grow into a Project Manager position.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Procore, Bluebeam, or similar construction software is a plus
