Job summary

HDR is seeking an Assistant Project Manager in the United States (Overland Park, KS) to coordinate multi-discipline teams throughout the project lifecycle under the supervision of a Project Manager. You will manage project deliverables, budgets, and schedules, ensuring alignment with client and HDR goals.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent), 5 years of related experience, and strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
• 5 years related experience.
• Ability to interact with various design teams and strong organizational and communication skills.
• Active participation in HDR's employee-owned culture is required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate work of single or multidiscipline teams throughout the project lifecycle, under supervision of a Project Manager.
• Coordinate workload and ensure deliverables on budget and schedule.
• Collaborate with Project Manager, Accounting, Operations and Business leadership for periodic reviews.

In the role of Assistant Project Manager, we'll count on you to:

• Coordinate work of single or multidiscipline teams throughout the project’s life cycle (from development and initiation to close-out), while under supervision of a Project Manager
• Responsible for many aspects of a small project or a single aspect of a larger project
• Coordinate workload through project execution and complete deliverables on budget and schedule
• Work with the Project Manager, Accounting, Operational and Business leadership for periodic project reviews
• Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP certification
• Experience delivering work for mission critical projects
• Experience as a member of multidiscipline design/delivery teams
• Familiarity with working on jobsites and understanding of site safety protocols

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field or an equivalent combination of education and related professional experience
• 5 years related experience
• Must have the ability to interact with various design teams, have excellent organizational, project management and communication (both written and verbal) skills
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
