Job summary

HDR, Inc. in Overland Park, Kansas is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to coordinate multi-discipline teams throughout a project's life cycle under the supervision of a Project Manager.

The role involves managing scope, schedule, and deliverables on budget, collaborating with Accounting, Operations and Business leadership for reviews, and performing other duties as needed to drive successful project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
• 5 years related experience.
• Ability to interact with design teams and strong organizational, PM and communication skills.

Role Overview

In the role of Assistant Project Manager, we'll count on you to:

• Coordinate work of single or multidiscipline teams throughout the project's life cycle (from development and initiation to close-out), while under supervision of a Project Manager


• Responsible for many aspects of a small project or a single aspect of a larger project


• Coordinate workload through project execution and complete deliverables on budget and schedule


• Work with the Project Manager, Accounting, Operational and Business leadership for periodic project reviews


• Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP certification


• Experience delivering work for mission critical projects


• Experience as a member of multidiscipline design/delivery teams


• Familiarity with working on jobsites and understanding of site safety protocols

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field or an equivalent combination of education and related professional experience


• 5 years related experience


• Must have the ability to interact with various design teams, have excellent organizational, project management and communication (both written and verbal) skills
