Job summary

Wilson Construction Company in Canby, OR is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to provide project management support on utility distribution construction projects. This entry-level role involves both field and office work, traveling to project sites across the Western United States and supporting the On-site Project Manager.

Responsibilities include entering daily status data, preparing look-aheads, RFIs, submittals, scheduling materials, and assisting with invoices and reports.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Construction Management, PM, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Experience in Microsoft Project and/or Primavera P6 is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills to include coordinating, tracking, and meeting deadlines; following up; multi-tasking.
  • Analytical skills.
  • Self-motivated attitude; ability to work independently while contributing to the team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate with various levels of staff.
  • Must maintain a valid driver license.

Job description

Title: Assistant Project Manager
Location: Canby, OR

Wilson Construction Company (Wilson) has an immediate opening for a self-motivated Assistant Project Manager with a positive, team-oriented outlook. This position will provide project management support on utility distribution construction projects as well as assist in developing, planning, and coordinating the technical work for electric utility construction projects.

This is an entry level field/office position. The majority of work hours will be spent at a project field office, with some time spent at Wilson’s headquarters in Canby, Oregon. This position will require travelling to and staying at various project sites throughout the Western United States. Project durations will vary from a few weeks to multiple years. This position shall work under the direction of the On-site Project Manager or Project Superintendent.

Requirements
