Job Summary

The Assistant Project Manager operates under the direct supervision of the Project Management Manager. The role focuses on learning project management skills for managing contractor projects, overseeing the flow of materials, maintaining schedules, and ensuring project specifications are met. The position involves coordinating activities, analyzing information, and providing customer support through order entry, expediting, and follow-up.

Responsibilities
Essential Functions
  • Training for managing commercial projects from inception to closure.
  • Preparing and maintaining project documentation, reports, and schedules.
  • Organizing project files and ensuring documentation is current.
  • Scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and recording minutes.
  • Coordinating with team members and stakeholders for timely task completion.
  • Monitoring project timelines and reporting deviations.
  • Assisting with project budgets and expenses tracking.
  • Facilitating communication within the team and with external stakeholders.
  • Drafting and distributing project communications.
  • Responding to project inquiries and providing information.
  • Ensuring project deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations.
  • Developing and implementing project processes and procedures.
Non-essential Functions
  • Supporting decision-making with project data analysis.
  • Preparing status reports and presentations.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Associate degree in business administration, project management, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a project support or administrative role preferred.
