Job summary

Choate Construction is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support project teams from planning through completion. You will assist with contracting, scheduling, estimating, bidding, and cost control, while working closely with the Project Manager and Superintendent.

You will contribute to preconstruction activities, logistics planning, and ongoing financial tracking to keep projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• At least three years of experience in a commercial construction–oriented entry-level role.

• Collaborate with the field Superintendent and project team to ensure safety, schedule, and budget compliance.

• Contribute to construction planning, financial tracking, and BIM/VDC coordination.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

As an Assistant Project Manager at Choate Construction, you play a key support role in helping guide projects from early planning through successful completion, knowing that your contributions directly impact our clients, project teams, and communities. This position is ideal for professionals with at least three years of experience in a commercial construction-oriented entry-level role who are eager to grow their careers and take on increasing responsibility. Reporting to and working closely with the Project Manager or Senior Project Manager, you will assist with the daily management, coordination, and administration of projects, supporting efforts related to contracting, scheduling, estimating, bidding, and cost control. You will collaborate alongside the field Superintendent and project team to help ensure work is executed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget, while gaining hands-on exposure to the full lifecycle of a construction project. With Choate's tools, mentorship, and support, you will continue developing the skills and confidence needed to grow into expanded project leadership roles.
