Position Overview

AE Works is seeking a talented Assistant Project Manager to join our team. You will assist the Project Lead (Senior Project Manager and/or Principal-in-Charge) in developing design and construction documents for bidding and construction, as well as during the Construction Administration Phase. Responsibilities include managing review comments, shop drawings, and submittals, and facilitating communication during this phase.

Location(s): Arlington, VA or Pittsburgh, PA, with travel to client and project sites.

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead Project Manager and/or Senior Project Manager throughout all project phases, from Schematic Design through Closeout, under supervision of a Senior Project Manager and/or Principal-in-Charge.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely progress across various phases.

Qualifications

• Experience: Ability to work independently and under supervision, with knowledge of building codes and modern architectural/construction methods. Ability to detail systems and recognize design issues.
• Understanding of construction drawings, coordination of various engineering trades, and impact on architectural design.
• Proactive problem-solving skills, initiative, and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or Engineering.
• Technical Skills: Basic schematic design, space planning, and programming skills.
• Attributes: Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills; effective time management.
