RFCUNY seeks a qualified Accountant to support the Assistant Controller by administering Agency Fund accounts, maintaining project information, reviewing budgets, encumbrances and expenses, and ensuring timely authorization and funding.
The role also involves entering journal entries, preparing monthly and quarterly financial reports, and communicating with Project Directors and RFCUNY departments to provide accurate, compliant financial information and exceptional service.

SUMMARY: This position reports directly to the Assistant Controller. The incumbent will assist the Assistant Controller and Senior Staff Accountants in administering Agency Fund accounts, including setting up, maintaining and updating project information and records/reports; reviewing project budgets, encumbrances and expenses; and verifying authorizing signatures and availability of funding, and assisting with financial reporting and account reconciliation.
