General Dynamics Land Systems UK is seeking an Assistant Project Accountant to join the Finance Team in Merthyr Tydfil. The role focuses on project financial control, forecasting, and GL reconciliations, supporting decision-making and ensuring compliance with policies.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Oracle systems.
• Knowledge of MSP.
• Finance background.
• Ability to negotiate with internal customers.
• Ability to challenge assumptions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain financial control of allocated projects, monitoring costs, forecasts and variances.
• Maintain programme baselines and manage associated orders.
• Management of Purchase Order Commitments.
• Financial Analysis and Reporting of individual budgets with CAMs.
• Monthly Programme Summary, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Provide EAC and forecasting, ensuring data integrity and policy adherence.
• Complete Programme tasks monthly and weekly, respond to queries.
• Investigate and resolve financial queries promptly.
• Identify financial risks and opportunities and support mitigation.
• Assist with audits, business reviews and ad hoc financial analysis.
