Job summary

Albertina Kerr in Cornelius, Oregon, seeks an Assistant Program Manager to support a youth residential group home. This swing-shift role runs Monday–Friday 11:00 am–7:00 pm with a weekend on-call rotation 1–2 times per month, plus on-call compensation.

You will assist the Program Manager in supervising staff, monitoring training, maintaining safety, and managing program finances. You’ll build positive relationships with families, guardians and community agencies to empower youth and uphold

Job description

As an Assistant Program Manager, you'll work in a youth residential group home in Cornelius, Oregon, providing support for children with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Help them achieve their desired lifestyles! You'll assist your Program Manager in providing peer support to staff, creating a positive work environment, and with financial oversight. This position works Swing shift Monday-Friday 11:00 am-7:00 pm at a youth residential group home, with an additional weekend on-call rotation 1-2 times per month. Additional compensation is provided for on-call.

Essential Duties

• Train, schedule and provide support to diverse staff.
• Maintain a work environment that emphasizes teamwork, cooperation, and safety.
• Provide motivation and feedback to staff.
• Address conflict, facilitate resolution, and model professional and positive relationships.
• Monitor staff training, Incident Reports, ISP goals, BSPs or other support documents.
• Fill in when necessary to ensure compliance with the staffing ratio or to mentor staff.
• Work with the Program Manager to maintain finances for each client and manage program budget.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with community and governmental agencies, families, guardians, and agency support staff.
• Participate in Licensing Reviews and Self-Assessments and work with Program Manager on the Plans of Improvement.
• Interact with those we serve in a manner that demonstrates respect, enhances dignity, builds self-esteem, and empowers personal choice.

Qualifications

• One-year experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or related field, experience working with youth preferred.
• Familiar with medication usage and side effects.
• Good math, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
• Good organizational skills.
• Ability to make decisions in response to incidents as they arise.
• Ability to relate effectively with supported youth.
• Ability to meet agency driving requirements.
• Driving eligibility includes a current and valid driver's license, at least two years of driving experience verifiable through the DMV, and no more than two moving violation infractions in the past two years.
• Ability to lift over 25 lbs.
• Ability to push or pull in excess of 50 lbs.
