Job summary

NPAworldwide is seeking an Assistant Program Manager to support the execution of technical programs. This early‑career professional should be organized, adaptable, curious, and eager to build a foundation in program execution and systems development.

You will work with project leadership to manage schedules, budgets, deliverables, and technical coordination, with visibility, growth potential, and ownership of meaningful projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • 2–5 years of professional experience supporting program or project management in a technical or R&D environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to accurately document and report findings.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, note-taking, and follow-up on actions.
  • Familiarity with DoD acquisition processes and government contracting.
  • Proficiency with MS Project, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in a multidisciplinary engineering environment.
  • Ability to work proactively in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment.

  • Assist with managing the full lifecycle of technical programs, including scope, schedule, budget, deliverables, and risk.
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor program schedules, budgets, and resource-tracking tools.
  • Track program deliverables and ensure timely submission in accordance with contract requirements.
  • Maintain and improve programmatic processes and tools (templates, tracking mechanisms).
  • Support proposal development, including technical approach, planning, and cost estimation.
  • Coordinate preparations of presentation material and briefing packages for customer meetings and key engineering events.
  • Manage and distribute meeting minutes and action items; follow up to ensure timely closure.
  • Facilitate team communication and documentation across program areas, including integration of reports, logs, and records.

  • Experience in technical writing, system documentation, and supporting new business proposals/bids.
  • Familiarity with engineering development lifecycles and documentation standards.
  • Understanding of integration verification and test planning processes.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and balance shifting priorities.
  • Detail‑oriented with strong prioritization and organization of daily schedules.
  • Experience with Dynamics 365 PSA or PO.
Location

We are located in Pawcatuck, CT or Groton, CT, and full relocation assistance is provided.

Compensation

Annual Salary: $135,000 – $160,000 USD.
