Job summary

National Youth Advocate Program in Aurora, CO seeks an Assistant Program Director for La Jornada to assist the Program Director with foster care, case management and clinical services for minors. The role includes supervision of staff and coordination with ORR and NYAP stakeholders.

The position demands a bachelor degree in education/psychology/sociology, 5 years in child welfare administration, fluency in English and Spanish, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in education, psychology, sociology or other relevant behavioral science field.
• 5 years of experience in child welfare administration or child protective services administration.
• Proven commitment to service and advocacy for youth and families.
• Proficient use of computers and common software (word processing, spreadsheet, database).
• Fluency in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Program Director with programmatic, administrative, financial, and operational systems related to foster care, case management, and clinical services.
• Supervise assigned staff and liaise with ORR and NYAP stakeholders.
• Maintain an inclusive workplace environment and support staff development.
• Coordinate with Talent Acquisition to hire staff and oversee training and evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with licensing standards and funder requirements.
