Job summary

Alameda Boys & Girls Club is seeking an Assistant Program Director to provide hands-on leadership in a trauma-sensitive environment. You will supervise staff, coordinate daily programs, and support youth and families on site.

The role requires walking and standing during program hours and entails collaboration with the Program Director to schedule staff and plan activities, including camps and events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 3+ years in youth development or related field.
• Experience working with diverse populations.
• Successfully pass DOJ fingerprint and background clearance.
• Demonstrated ability to organize, direct, plan and coordinate operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily oversight of program operations, safety and risk management, and staff/volunteer management.
• Run youth programming when additional support is needed; direct opening/closing tasks.
• Lead and plan seasonal and summer camps; assist with special programs or events.
