Job summary

True North Consultants, Inc. seeks an Assistant Program Director for the VN Program in California to assist the Campus Program Director with planning, development, management, and evaluation of the nursing program.

The role supports state and Board reporting, coordinates clinical rotations, and ensures student records and evaluations are compliant and current. Minimum RN experience and BRN licensure in CA are required, with leadership and online teaching experience valued.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in nursing, education, or administration.
• Minimum of three (3) years experience leading a nursing program.
• Minimum of three (3) years experience as full-time faculty in a pre- or post-licensure nursing program.
• Minimum of one (1) year experience teaching in an online teaching and learning environment.
• Minimum four (4) years continuous full-time RN experience in geriatrics, medical-surgical, mental health, obstetrics or pediatrics in the past five years.
• Must hold a valid California BRN license.
• Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills.
• Able to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Director with planning, developing, managing, updating and evaluating all aspects of the program.
• Assists with preparing data and documents for state and Board requirements, reports, proposals, self-studies, surveys, and site visits.
• Assists with identifying and obtaining outside resources for the nursing program.
• Ensures clinical experience meets theory and course objectives.
• Ensures facility approvals are completed before initiating clinical rotations.
• Ensures timely completion of student evaluations by faculty.
