Job summary

Aspire Talent Solutions is seeking an Assistant Program Director - VN Program in Irvine, CA to support the Vocational Nursing program under the Campus Program Director. You will help plan, develop, and assess all program aspects while ensuring compliance with state and board requirements.

The role includes teaching half of the time and coordinating clinical rotations, evaluations, and records. Requires a California BRN license, nursing leadership experience, and prior online teaching experience.

Qualifications

Master's degree or higher in nursing, education, or administration.
BRN license in California.
RN with 4+ years of direct patient care within the past 5 years across geriatrics, medical-surgical, mental health/psychiatric, obstetrics or pediatrics.
3+ years leading a nursing program.
3+ years as full-time faculty in pre- or post-licensure nursing programs.
1 year online teaching experience.

Responsibilities

Assist the Director with planning, developing, managing, updating and evaluating all aspects of the program.
Assist with preparing data and other materials for state and Board requirements, reports, proposals, self-studies, surveys, and site visits.
Assist with identifying and obtaining outside resources for the nursing program.
Assess the agency's ability to provide clinical experiences meeting objectives.
Ensure Facility Approval Applications are completed and approved prior to initiating clinical rotations.
Ensure timely completion of student theory and clinical evaluations by assigned faculty.
Maintain evaluations by students, clinical site representatives, and faculty at rotation ends.
Assist with strategic planning and assessment of instructional initiatives to ensure quality of instruction.
Teach (theory or clinical) half of the time.
Other duties as assigned.
