Job summary

Lantern Community Services Inc in Brooklyn, NY is seeking an Assistant Program Director to partner with the Program Director in managing the Clover Hall program, with experience in mental health and housing for formerly homeless individuals. The APD will supervise case management staff, ensure regulatory compliance, review charts and reports, and lead diversity, equity, belonging, inclusion efforts within the program culture.

Occasional evenings and on-call support may be required.

Qualifications

• MSW or MHC required; license within one year.
• Minimum one year of supervisory experience in social services.
• Minimum three years of post‑Master’s experience in social service, housing or emergency shelter.
• Experience using databases to document and report work with clients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical supervision and coaching to the case management staff.
• Promote learning and professional development among staff.
• Review and approve documentation by the case management team and ensure high standards of care.
• Conduct internal chart reviews in collaboration with the Program Director.
• Review dashboards and monthly reports with staff to track outcomes.
• Participate in interviews with prospective clients and assess housing needs.
• Develop supervision plans and accountability systems for reporting requirements.
• Ensure staff use a harm reduction approach with residents.
