Job summary

May Institute in the South Shore is seeking an Assistant Program Coordinator to partner with the Program Coordinator, supervise the daily operations of an adult residential home, and gradually take on leadership responsibilities.

You will provide direct care, assist with meal planning and safety protocols, and coordinate with nursing and management teams. This full‑time role offers growth opportunities and a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license with 1+ year driving experience.
• 1+ years experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities; crisis intervention/physical management preferred.
• Interest in developing leadership skills and growing into a management role.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational ability.
• Compassion, reliability, and commitment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support while assisting in daily site operations.
• Help coordinate meal prep, shopping, recreation planning, and household organization.
• Support MAP procedures, documentation, and safety protocols.
• Maintain communication with the PC, management, and nursing teams.
• Take on-call responsibilities two days per week and cover the home when the PC is on leave.
