Job summary

Bellevue University seeks an Assistant Professor to join its Teacher Education program. This full-time, at-will faculty role centers on teaching, student engagement, and service to the program, university, and profession.

The standard workload is eight courses per academic year, with additional expectations for program development and continuous improvement. Responsibilities include teaching across online, hybrid, and on-ground formats, participating in curriculum design, accreditation

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Teacher Education is required.
• 3–5 years of teaching experience in K-12 education.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Experience with online and/or hybrid course delivery is highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate-level courses consistent with workload (8 courses per year).
• Deliver instruction aligned with curriculum objectives and standards.
• Provide timely, constructive feedback and maintain records.
• Participate in program meetings, assessment, and accreditation activities.
• Engage in student advising, mentoring, and service to the university.
• Contribute to program growth and mission alignment through collaboration.
