The Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston is hiring an assistant professor for a part-time faculty appointment in our Houston Medical Office. The position supports outpatient diagnostical services at Harris Health Conty Hospital, Smith and Gulfgate clinics and advances BCM’s mission.

Minimum qualifications include ACGME-approved PM&R residency, Texas medical license, DEA certificate, and eligibility for Baylor faculty appointment.

Formación

• Completion of an ACGME-approved PM&R residency.
• Current Texas Medical License, active and unrestricted.
• Current DEA Certification, active and unrestricted.
• Eligibility to hold Baylor faculty appointment, including background check.
• Ability to maintain and grow patient load with evidence-based care.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain a full patient load and provide proper care and direction to those you are serving.
• Create a culture of excellence in patient care and ongoing learning.
• Participate in defining growth strategy for the office and lead educational sessions with area physicians, therapists and healthcare providers as needed.
• Support BCM Core Mission Areas including Clinical Care, Education, and Research.
• Represent BCM’s values within and outside the Baylor Community.
• Work with regional leadership to build the expertise and reputation of the office through high quality, consistent care.
• Maintain sound clinical decision making with highest integrity and ethics.
