The incumbent will periodically review scope of practice with leadership to expand PM&R activities, participate in resident and student education, and contribute to quality improvement and patient

Qualifications

• Completion of ACGME-approved residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
• Completion of ACGME-approved subspecialty in Pain Medicine or equivalent.
• Current Texas Medical License in good standing.
• ABPM&R Certification (at least General PM&R; Pain or Spine subspecialization preferred).
• Current DEA Certification in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Provide Spine PM&R clinical services.
• Provide outpatient clinical services at Baylor Medicine Spine Center and/or other sites as assigned.
• Evaluate and treat patients with spine and pain conditions.
• Prescribe medications, treatments and therapies as appropriate.
• Perform spine and pain procedures as appropriate.
• Educate residents, fellows, and medical students.
• Attend faculty meetings, grand rounds, and other lectures.
• Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
