Job summary

University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) seeks an accomplished academic to lead cost-effectiveness and health economics research across PharmD, MS, and PhD programs. You will supervise students, secure extramural funding, and advance the department’s teaching and scholarship objectives.

The role includes serving as course manager for the Pharmacoeconomics & CER I course and contributing to health economics and outcomes research in multiple programs, aligned with the department chair's

Qualifications

• Earned PhD in Economics or equivalent with strong focus on cost-effectiveness analysis and HEOR.
• Excellent communication skills are essential. Evidence of scholarship is preferred.
• Professional conduct in all dealings with students, faculty, and administration.

Responsibilities

• Lead cost-effectiveness and health economics and outcomes research instructional activities across academic programs; supervise students.
• Secure extramural funding and develop interdisciplinary research collaborations.
• Publish research findings in high-impact peer-reviewed journals; First author on manuscripts and PI on funded grants expected for progression.
