Job summary

The University of Texas at San Antonio invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Practice in the College of Education and Human Development. This position will help build the new Behavioral Science Undergraduate degree in the Child Life Sciences area, teaching in the Child Life track and developing curriculum.

Candidates should have a Master’s degree (Educational Psychology, Human Development, Education or related field) and an Active CCLS certification, with ability to teach on-campus

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Educational Psychology, Human Development, Education, or related field.
• Active Certified Child Life Specialist (CCLS) credential.
• Ability to teach on-campus or via synchronous or asynchronous online formats.
• This position may require the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure per Texas EO-GA-48.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate course in the Undergraduate Behavioral Sciences Program in the Child Life Track.
• Help develop Child Life courses within the newly created undergraduate program.
• Grade coursework and evaluate student readiness for clinical placements.
• Maintain current knowledge of Association of Child Life Professionals (ACLP) standards.
