The qualified applicant will report to the Director of Athletics. This position is a full-time, nine-month, program-track appointment
Springfield College recognizes the unique and important contribution that faculty members with coaching responsibilities make to the academic and co-curricular life of the College. The individual is responsible for all phases of the Women's Soccer program including competition and practice planning, mentoring of staff, recruitment and development of student-athletes, equipment, contest scheduling, public relations including social media and other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics. Additionally, a thorough understanding of and accountability to NCAA (Division III member), NEWMAC, and institutional rules and regulations is necessary. The individual will also be responsible for teaching coursework in the Department of Physical Education and Health Education. Instructional responsibilities will be dependent on the teaching expertise of the applicant.

Qualifications
Interested applicants for this position will have a Master's degree from an accredited institution. Preference will be given to applicants with an educational background in Physical Education, Health Education, or a related discipline. Preference will be given to applicants with at least five years of college teaching and / or college coaching experience who can bring diverse perspectives to this thriving department and who are motivated to help students succeed. A valid driver's license, CPR and AED certification is required. Applicants should have a commitment to work in a dynamic work setting with a diverse student population.
