Assistant Professor of Nursing (IO-month), Tenure Track
Department of Health Sciences and Nursing, Eastern Connecticut State University

Eastern Connecticut State University seeks an assistant professor to faculty its baccalaureate nursing program. The role focuses on teaching, scholarship, and service within a liberal arts framework. The department offers opportunities in pediatric, psychiatric, leadership, community, geriatric, maternity, and evidence‑based practice nursing.

Responsibilities

Teaching across didactic, clinical, laboratory, and simulation settings with a workload of 12 FLCs per semester. Faculty support curriculum development, conduct research, evaluate programs and students, provide academic advising, and participate in professional service activities. Annual evaluation covers teaching, service, research, and other scholarly activity.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Unencumbered RN license (CT eligible by start date)
  • Doctorate in Nursing (PhD, EdD, or DNP, DNE)
  • Minimum of 5 years clinical nursing experience in a relevant area
  • Minimum of 1 year teaching experience in academic nursing education
  • Evidence of scholarly productivity
