Job summary

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university.
  • Active, unencumbered Idaho RN license or eligible to attain.
  • Current healthcare provider CPR certification and be able to meet health and immunization requirements.
  • Current clinical nursing experience in population/community health, nursing leadership, and healthcare policy.
  • Detail-oriented, resourceful, excellent interpersonal oral and written communication skills, and able to work autonomously within a collaborative and dynamic faculty group.
  • Ability to use computers, Microsoft Office applications, Canvas Learning Management System, TEAMS, and other instructional technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Teach face-to-face didactic and clinical nursing courses for pre-licensure BSN students as assigned.
  • Teach online coursework for RN-BSN students and/or nursing graduate program.
  • Participate in curriculum design, implementation, evaluation and revision.
  • Provide academic advising, scholarship/professional development and service activities.
  • Support recruitment and retention of students.

Salary and rank based on experience and qualifications: $63,000 - $66,000

Degree Required: Master's degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university

Required Qualifications
  • Active, unencumbered ID RN license or eligible to attain.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Doctorate from a regionally accredited college or university.
  • Experience teaching in an undergraduate or graduate nursing program.
  • Experience with curriculum development.
  • Demonstrated ability to advise and mentor students.
  • Experience with online and/ or distance instruction of nursing courses.
Responsibilities

This 9-month, full-time, tenure-track faculty member will be responsible for teaching face-to-face didactic and clinical nursing courses as assigned for pre-licensure BSN students, for teaching online coursework for RN-BSN students, and/or for teaching online courses for the nursing graduate program. The teaching assignment is a 9-month contract with pay and benefits over 12 months. The successful candidate will participate in curriculum design, implementation, evaluation, and revision and will provide support to enrolled program and pre-program students. Additional responsibilities include academic advising, scholarship/professional development, and service activities.

Additional duties include direct and indirect activities to support recruitment and retention of students.
