Job summary

The Dixie L. Leavitt School of Business at Southern Utah University invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Management. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses, contribute to research, and engage in service to the department and university.

PhD or ABD in Management, OB, or HRM is required or anticipated. Teaching excellence and a scholarly agenda are expected, with online instruction and student mentoring encouraged to support AACSB qualifications.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. (or ABD) in Management, Organizational Behavior, Human Resource Management, or related field.
• Evidence of, or strong potential for, excellence in teaching.
• Proven or demonstrated potential for high-quality research.
• Meet scholarly and/or professional engagement requirements per SUU policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide undergraduate and graduate instruction face-to-face and online in Management topics.
• Engage and mentor students in alignment with the university mission.
• Maintain an active research agenda to enhance classroom instruction.
• Contribute to department, school, and university service.
• Attend school and university meetings and events.
• Demonstrate effective communication with faculty, staff, and students.
• Other duties as assigned.
