The Dolan School of Business at Fairfield University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level in the Finance Department, beginning Fall 2025 and subject to budget approval. Candidates must have completed a Ph.D. in Finance by September 1, 2025 and have an active research program with demonstrated potential to publish high quality research in peer-reviewed journals. All areas of finance will be considered. Candidates must have a strong commitment to engaged teaching. Commitment to innovation and demonstrated excellence in using technology in the classroom are required. A faculty member may teach at either the Fairfield and/or Bridgeport campus in person and online. Service to the department, school of business, university, community, and profession is expected.
The University: Fairfield University is a Jesuit, Catholic institution, located in the scenic shoreline community of Fairfield, CT, one hour from New York City along Long Island Sound. The Dolan School of Business at Fairfield University is AACSB International accredited and is ranked among U.S. News’ and Princeton Review’s best undergraduate and graduate on-campus business schools. The Dolan School of Business educates approximately 40% of the University’s undergraduate students and 20% of the University’s graduate students. Finance is the largest major on campus with over 1,025 majors and a quarter of the graduating class.
