The successful candidate will teach five courses per year, including intermediate macroeconomics and electives from a heterodox perspective, and will advise students as well as participate in departmental, university, or professional service. Additional teaching may include introductory economics, and courses in the college core curriculum, including interdisciplinary courses.
The department is committed to pluralism in economics. We value teaching and scholarship that expose students to multiple intellectual, methodological, social, and global perspectives. We welcome candidates who demonstrate excellence in student-centered teaching, support students from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences, and value collaboration and interdisciplinarity.
