Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Geoscience or related field by August 1, 2027.
  • Record of research in sedimentology, stratigraphy, or related geoscience using sed/strat methods.
  • Ability to teach undergraduate Sedimentology and Stratigraphy.
  • Demonstrated commitment to being an effective teacher at undergraduate and graduate levels.
  • Demonstrated commitment to working with a diverse student population.

Responsibilities

  • Teach undergraduate and graduate (M.S. level) courses in sedimentology and stratigraphy.
  • Mentor undergraduate and Masters-level graduate students in research.
  • Maintain an active research program with student involvement and publications.
  • Seek external support for research and student funding through grants and contracts.
  • Collaborate on curriculum development and program assessment.
  • Participate in service at department, college, university, and professional level.
