Qualifications: The program is seeking a Tenure-Track (Assistant/Associate) Counselor Educator who completed education in a CACREP Accredited Program (or degree conferral by time of appointment). Demonstrated ability to work collegially with members of the program and department is essential. Candidates should have an established Counselor Educator identity, demonstrated through involvement in professional associations, and certification/licensure or license eligibility. Candidates knowledgeable about Counselor Education, especially clinical mental health counseling, CACREP-accreditation operating procedures, and familiar with national training issues in counselor education are encouraged to apply.
Preferences: Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate:
- strong professional identity and commitment to counselor education, especially in clinical mental health counseling,
- prior teaching and supervision experience, and
- a commitment to diversity initiatives and training counselors to work with diverse clients.
Minimum Education Requirements: Applicants are required to have an earned doctorate in Counselor Education from a CACREP-accredited program (Note: ABD with completion by June 2025 will be considered.). Possession of, or eligibility for, additional credentials (e.g., NCC, LPC, ACS).
Preferred Qualifications: Leadership experience and a proven track record of work with clinical mental health counseling initiatives including experience teaching CACREP common core areas, and supervision of counselors in training in practicum and internship. This tenure-track positions require in-person engagement in teaching, scholarship, service, and professional activities on campus.
