Job summary

Colorado State University invites applications for 1-2 Assistant Professors in Nutrition Science within the Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition. We seek researchers who enhance our program focusing on cardiometabolic health, obesity, gut health and the microbiome, and functional foods.

Successful candidates will build externally funded programs, collaborate across campus and with industry partners, and teach and mentor undergraduates and graduates.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Nutrition or related field.
• At least 2 years of postdoctoral experience or previous academic appointment.
• Demonstrated record of peer-reviewed publications in high-impact journals.
• Demonstrated ability to acquire research funding.
• Demonstrated ability to teach and mentor undergraduate and/or graduate students.

Responsibilities

• Establish a nationally recognized, externally funded research program.
• Integrate research into department, college, and university priority areas.
• Teach and mentor undergraduate and graduate students.
• Engage in collaborative opportunities within CSU and with academic/industry partners.
