The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Nebraska at Kearney (UNK) is accepting applications for a tenure track position starting in August 2027. The Department is looking for a passionate educator with a strong commitment to student success and high-quality teaching. Teaching responsibilities will primarily include face-to-face courses for mathematics majors and non-majors, ranging from college algebra and elementary statistics to upper-level courses. The position also includes expectations for research and publication appropriate to the mission of the University in a related field, as well as service to the department, college, university, and discipline.
The position carries a standard teaching load of 12 credit hours per semester, with the possibility of a 3-credit-hour research release each semester. Teaching is the primary responsibility of the position, with research and service also expected in accordance with departmental, college, and university guidelines for continued appointment, promotion, and tenure.
Must be willing to teach in-person and be on campus.
