Job summary

California State University, Northridge (CSUN) invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Information Systems in the Department of Systems and Operations Management. The successful candidate will teach Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Digital Forensics, Ethical Hacking, and AI Governance, and engage in scholarly research while serving the department, college, and university.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Information Systems or a closely related field by August 19, 2027.
• Evidence of effective teaching experience or potential for teaching at the college or university-level teaching experience both online and in-person.
• Evidence of or clear potential for successful scholarly research in Information Systems.
• Evidence of effective engagement or potential to engage with a diverse student body.
• At the time of appointment, candidates must meet current AACSB International standards for Scholarly Academic (SA) classification and maintain this throughout tenure.

Responsibilities

• Teach Information Systems related courses including Cybersecurity, Digital Forensics, Ethical Hacking, and AI Governance.
• Maintain weekly office hours, attend faculty meetings, participate in assessment of student learning, and provide service to department, college, and university.
• Possibly teach on weekdays, evenings, weekends, and online as required by department and college policies.
• Contribute to equitable academic outcomes through teaching, mentorship, scholarship, and service.
