Job summary

California State University, Northridge invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Information Systems within the Department of Systems and Operations Management. The successful candidate will teach Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Digital Forensics, Ethical Hacking, and AI Governance, and pursue scholarly research in IS.

Responsibilities include weekly office hours, service to the department and college, and participation in assessment of student learning.

Qualifications

Doctoral degree in Information Systems or closely related field by Aug 19, 2027.
Evidence of effective teaching experience online and in-person.
Evidence of scholarly research in Information Systems.
Evidence of engagement with a diverse student body.
Meet current AACSB standards for Scholarly Academic (SA) classification and maintain it throughout tenure.

Responsibilities

Teach Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Digital Forensics, Ethical Hacking, and AI Governance.
Contribute to assessment of student learning and department/service activities.
Attend faculty meetings and participate in service to the college and university.
Maintain weekly office hours and may teach during evenings, weekends, or online as required.
