Job summary

The College of Staten Island (CUNY) invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Electrical Engineering. The successful candidate will focus on power engineering and renewable energy systems, and contribute to teaching and curriculum development for ABET-accredited EE programs.

The role includes advising students, serving on college committees, and pursuing external funding to strengthen research in power generation, transmission, and energy storage. Appointment begins Aug 2027.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. required in area(s) of experience or equivalent.
• Ability to teach successfully; demonstrated scholarship or achievement.
• Willingness to apply for external funding/grants.

Responsibilities

• Share responsibilities for advising students and departmental service.
• Contribute to ABET-accredited Electrical Engineering program development.
