Job summary

Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine seeks a full-time tenure-eligible or tenure-track Investigator at the rank of Assistant Professor. The position is housed within the Department of Surgery at Ann and Robert H.

Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago with cross-functional responsibilities. Responsibilities include partnering with surgeon-scientists on growing and supporting Departmental federally funded research studies with a strong health services and outcomes research component.

Qualifications

• PhD in epidemiology, data science, public health, physiology or related field.
• Experience with health services and outcomes research.
• Experience with real-world and surgical outcomes.
• Familiarity with cost-effectiveness research and advanced statistical methods.
• Postdoctoral fellowship preferred with a track record of funding.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with surgeon-scientists to grow and support Departmental federally funded research studies with a strong health services/outcomes component.
• Develop and sustain collaborative relationships with research leadership throughout the department and the university.
• Contribute to studies aligned with departmental and university missions.
