Job summary

Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine seeks an Assistant Professor to join the Department of Surgery, housed at Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago.

This full-time, tenure-eligible or tenure-track Investigator will collaborate with surgeon-scientists on federally funded studies with a focus on health services and outcomes research. The ideal candidate will hold a PhD in epidemiology, data science, public health, physiology, or a similar field.

Qualifications

  • PhD in epidemiology, data science, public health, physiology, or similar degree path.
  • Experience collaborating with surgeon-scientists to develop broad-applicability solutions.
  • Strong background in health services/outcomes research and real-world data analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with surgeon-scientists to grow and support Departmental federally funded research studies.
  • Develop and sustain collaborative relationships with research leadership across the department and university.
  • Contribute to health services and outcomes research with strong statistical methods.
