University of California, Davis invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Food Microbiology in the Department of Food Science and Technology. The position focuses on genomics, ecology and microbial foodborne pathogens, with teaching of undergraduate and graduate courses and development of new courses in food safety and genomics.
This is a 9-month, tenure-track role with AES appointment and strong emphasis on research and outreach.
Responsibilities
- Develop and teach undergraduate and graduate level courses (e.g., FST104 - Food Microbiology and FST 108 - Food Sanitation).
- Mentor undergraduate and graduate students and participate in curricular development.
