The University of Maryland School of Nursing (UMSON) seeks a full-time Assistant Professor in Entry into Practice within the Organizational Systems and Adult Health department. Doctorally prepared candidates will teach clinically focused courses for acute adult care and guide outcomes in Entry into Practice programs.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree required for the role.
• Current RN license to practice in Maryland or a compact state.
• Recent clinical experience with adult patients in acute care settings.
• Teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides classroom, lab, and clinical instruction focused on adult health and curricular adjustments for entry into practice nursing students.
• Participates in planning, implementation and evaluation of clinical simulations for courses taught.
• Uses evidence-based practices to educate entry into practice nursing students in pathophysiology and acute adult care.
• Advises and mentors entry into practice nursing students.
• Contributes to interprofessional teamwork by serving on departmental and school committees.
