Qualifications

• Ph.D. in African American Studies (or related field) with ABD by appointment date.

• Evidence of scholarly publications or potential.
• Demonstrated collaborative work with colleagues and community.
• Strong record or potential in Black Cultural Studies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and teach introductory and core courses in Black Cultural Studies.
• Develop courses in area(s) of specialization such as Intro to Black Creative Expression.
• Advise students and participate in departmental service.
• Contribute to scholarly or creative work towards tenure.
