California State University, Fullerton invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Criminal Justice Department (Race & Inequality) with Fall 2027 appointment.

The successful candidate will teach core courses on race and ethnicity and/or elective courses on gangs, engage in research advancing criminal and social justice, advise students, and contribute to service at multiple levels.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in the social sciences at appointment time, emphasis in criminal and social justice.
• Proven commitment to teaching a diverse undergraduate student population.
• Ability to teach Race, Inequality and the Criminal Justice System and/or Gangs and the Criminal Justice System.
• Potential for curricular growth and scholarship relevant to tenure.

Responsibilities

• Teach core courses on race/ethnicity and/or electives on gangs in the CJ system.
• Engage in superb teaching, advisement, and mentorship.
• Produce scholarship commensurate with tenure requirements.
• Contribute to department, college, university, and community service.
